Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach

Under the direction of the Head Coach, the assistant will be responsible for implementing skill development programs for student-athletes and overseeing all aspects of
NCAA
Division I Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs.
Responsible for teaching student-athletes proper skills and skill development in their sport.
Provide instruction in physical health, nutrition and safety.
Provide instruction in team concepts and sports etiquette.
Responsibilities also include developing successful recruitment strategies, following up on prospective students, researching and targeting high schools and athletic camps as sources for potential student-athletes and visiting high schools and athletic camps to conduct student interviews.
Develop and oversee off – season conditioning programs for the team. Determine individual and team strengths and develop strategies to maximize performance.
Scout opponents and develop scouting reports
Provide advice and counsel to the Head Coach in disciplining student-athletes for infractions of rules, regulations and policies.
Work with the head coach and administrators to stay within fiscal and budgetary guidelines.
Position requires frequent evening and weekend hours. Also requires frequent travel.
Bachelor’s degree
Three years coaching experience
Must possess a thorough knowledge of
NCAA
and Conference rules.
Master degree preferred
Three years coaching experience at the Collegiate Level preferred.
