Andrew College is actively recruiting a Part-Time Wrestling Coach to assist in the start-up of its inaugural intercollegiate Men’s
Wrestling program. The successful candidate will have prior recruiting experience as well as experience with athletic
fundraising, alumni relations and community engagement in addition to previous budgetary management experience.
Candidates should have familiarity and working knowledge of NJCAA rules, and commitment to a strong compliance culture
along with adhering to all Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association, and Andrew College guidelines, regulations and policies.

The selected individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a commitment to the academic
and life skills development of student-athletes. The Assistant Wrestling Coach must understand the dynamics of a small
college setting and have the ability to take on several tasks outside the coaching arena towards success for the Athletic
Department and Andrew College as a whole.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Wrestling program
Fulfill the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the Andrew College department of athletics as it pertains to the
Recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, promoting, training, and conditioning, skill instruction, student-athlete and staff
development, academic support, compliance, and game plan preparation and strategy
Works with wrestling student-athletes in weight classes assigned by head coach
Maintain high academic standards for student-athletes
Performs recruitment of wrestling student-athletes including but not limited to identification of prospective student-
athletes (PSA), correspondence with PSAs throughout the year (emails, mailings, phone calls), PSA evaluations, PSA
contacts, official visits, recruiting services, admissions procedures, and all applicable compliance recruiting forms
and/or logs
Assists head coach with donor relations
Assists head coach with community service and community engagement
Assists head coach with camps and clinics
Assists with maintaining compliance forms and/or logs
Assists head coach with daily communications with student-athletes
Develop healthy department and athlete relationships
Strong disciplined skills and consistency with communication and structure required
Good driving record with ability to drive Andrew College vans and recruiting vehicles
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Knowledge of intercollegiate wrestling
Knowledge of the NJCAA Rules
Ability to travel extensively
Ability to deliver the same and consistent messages as the head coach about techniques, drills, plays, and attitude goals
Minimum Requirements:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and two years of wrestling coaching experience. However,
consideration will be given to those candidates with an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Previous head or assistant collegiate level coaching experience preferred. A valid driver’s license is required.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to lift and/or move heavy items. You will also be required to
work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
