In addition, the position will have opportunities in recruiting student-athletes to Drake Rowing. The assistant coach will assist in organizing and conducting competition regattas. The position will work with administrative coordination of the program. Along with entire coaching staff, enforce safety rules and regulations.

Skills Needed:
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
• Ability to build rapport and students, faculty and staff.
• Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching.
• Proficiency to produce scouting reports, recruiting evaluations and complete work within deadlines.
• Ability to develop and sustain relationships with prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations.
• 0-1 years of experience in college and/or high school coaching.

All of the job duties described below require an understanding of and compliance with the rules of the NCAA, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and Drake University.
