Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Soccer Coach assists with all aspects of the men’s soccer program, including recruiting qualified student-athletes, planning and leading training sessions, providing on-field instruction and player development, and supporting student-athlete well-being and academic success under the guidance of the Head Soccer Coach.

The position is a part-time stipend appointment, and not eligible for benefits.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting training sessions, matches, fitness and conditioning activities, and player development programs.
  • Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes who align with the mission and values of the institution.
  • Provide technical, tactical, and positional instruction to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to student-athlete health, safety, academic success, and overall well-being.
  • Support program operations, including travel coordination, equipment management, scheduling, match preparation, and film breakdown or scouting.
  • Uphold and enforce institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Serve as a positive mentor and role model, fostering discipline, sportsmanship, accountability, teamwork, and leadership.
