Missouri S&T, a NCAA II institution in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) is accepting applications for an assistant softball coach. In this full-time position, the assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in the development and maintenance of an effective and competitive NCAA Division II softball program at Missouri S&T. Specific responsibilities include planning and assisting with practices, teaching softball strategies, skills, and techniques, scouting opponents, recruiting high caliper student athletes on and off-campus, coordinating fundraising and community service activities, and supervising the overall academic and well-being of student-athletes. The individual will also assist with administrative duties such as scheduling travel, purchasing equipment, and camps. An Individual with experience coaching hitting is preferred. The individual must have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with others. The successful candidate must embrace the academic rigor and mission of the University by recruiting high achieving student-athletes. He or she must be able to demonstrate excellence within their career. This person will be added to a talented athletic department staff comprised of positive, enthusiastic coaches who have the skill-set to build S&T athletics into a nationally ranked Division II program. This position must adhere to NCAA, GLVC, and institutional rules and policies.

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $38,000-$40,000 annually.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
