Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, Wesleyan College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Softball Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, recruitment, and have experience coaching pitchers. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to develop athletes and contribute to a growing program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in managing daily team operations and practices.
• Oversee and participate in field maintenance to ensure optimal playing conditions.
• Recruit potential student-athletes, including identifying, evaluating, and fostering relationships with prospective players.
• Provide pitching instruction and development, working closely with pitchers to improve their skills.
• Support game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
• Help organize team travel, schedules, and logistics.
• Assist in promoting team culture, sportsmanship, and academic success among student-athletes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience in playing and/or coaching softball, particularly in pitching, is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and processes.
• Ability to maintain and manage softball fields.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
