The Assistant Softball Coach is responsible for assisting with all aspects of recruiting, coaching, and development of Division I student-athletes at Lafayette College and supports all facets of the women’s softball program.

Primary Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will assist the Head Softball Coach with the coordination, guidance, direction, and supervision of the softball program, with emphasis on academic and athletic excellence. Responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: coaching student-athletes; scouting; recruiting; monitoring student-athlete academic progress; game management; budget; compliance; equipment purchasing / monitoring; and travel. This position will work closely with pitching and outfield.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 1-3 years experience coaching at the Division I level. Knowledge of and ability to abide by NCAA, Patriot League, and Lafayette College rules and regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of Google Workspace for Education and ARMS.
