Assistant Softball Coach

Defiance College, an NAIA institution and member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), seeks applications for an Assistant Softball Coach.
Under the direction of the Head Coach, responsibilities will include coaching, recruiting, practice planning and preparation, academic monitoring, fund raising, mentoring of student-athletes, developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the mission of Defiance College, as well as adherence to institutional, NCAA, and WHAC policies and procedures. A bachelor’s degree, previous softball coaching and/or playing experience (preferably at the collegiate level), and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record are required. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills and successful recruiting experience, and the ability to lead and serve our student-athletes.
