Responsibilties Include:
Assist in evaluating and recruiting athletically talented and academically qualified scholar-athletes supporting the University’s mission and philosophy in monitoring, overseeing, and supporting scholar-athlete academic success. Comply with the academic policies established by the University and the NCAA and maintain an environment in which the pursuit of higher education is a priority as reflected by class attendance, grade point averages, the NCAA Academic Success Rate (ASR), and federal graduation rates.
Assist in providing a positive scholar-athlete experience centered on their physical and mental health in the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions and competitions in developing, instructing, and motivating scholar-athletes in fundamentals, techniques, and strategies to achieve a high-level performance individually and as a team

Assist with coordination of administrative operations in adhering to all athletic and University policies and protocols, use of all athletic and university software and technology systems, documentation, travel arrangements, equipment/supplies maintenance, orders, camp/clinic organization and implementation, and community service
Assist with developing, implementing, and overseeing the sports operating budget provided by the university. Develop fundraising activities and events to supplement the budget needs of the program including cooperating fully with the University in promoting the Program, the University’s Athletics Advancement fundraising, the University, the University’s Alumni Association, and other University-affiliated organizations. Such cooperation includes, but is not limited to, (a) attendance and participation at meetings, events, and media outlets of the University and University-affiliated organizations; (b) endorsement of products and performance of promotional services; and (c) personal appearances, in each case as directed by the Director of Athletics
Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to and complying with the policies and guidelines established by the Federal Government, University, Athletics Department, NCAA, and Sunshine State Conference (SSC) for conducting all program activities including but not limited to:

In accordance with this tradition, the assistant coach, as a member of the Athletics Department agrees to always represent the University in an honorable and ethical manner. Standards for ethical conduct are established and enforced by the University, Florida Institute of Technology, the SSC, and the NCAA.
The assistant coach will be a Campus Security Authority (“CSA”) as defined by the Clery Act. As a CSA, the assistant coach will comply with university policies on the reporting of crime statistics and related information to the official designated by the University for the purposes of Clery Act reporting.
In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the assistant coach will be a Responsible Employee as defined by University policies on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Misconduct, a Responsible Employee, the assistant coach will report incidents of sexual misconduct (including sexual harassment and sexual violence) and other inappropriate sexual conduct to the University’s Title IX Coordinator or other appropriate designee as required by University policyDemonstrate establishing positive, mutually respectful, and effective working relationships with scholar-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, alumni, and the public

Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree
First Aid/CPR
Minimum 2–5 years of experience required in area of expertise
Previous collegiate, club, or high school head or assistant coaching experience

The Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
