| Position Summary |
Responsible for providing assistance to the Head Coach in assigned areas of the intercollegiate Softball Program. This incumbent will assist the head coach in coaching, planning, organizing, directing, recruiting, and implementing all phases of a Division I Softball program. Assist in all areas of team performance which includes but is not limited to pre-season, post-season training, practice and competition, and academic progress. Adhere to the philosophy of the head coach.

- Ability to teach pitching techniques.
- Evaluate and compare athletic talent for potential growth and development of student-athletes.
- Successful recruiting experience.
- Comprehend and adhere to NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures in the sport of Softball.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers, and the general public.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
