Compensation: Hiring Range: $38,055 - $45,666 , commensurate with experience

Position Information:

Mayville State University, an NAIA institution of the Frontier Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. The successful candidate will support the development of a competitive program and contribute to the overall mission of Comet Athletics.

• Assist in developing a program that is competitive at the regional and national level
• Manage and execute short- and long-term recruiting strategies
• Promote academic progress of student-athletes by working closely with the Office of Academic Services
• Serve in secondary duties as gameday management for men’s and women’s basketball
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work within the HPER Division and support the University, as a team member by collaborating with faculty, staff and students on committees, program planning, assessment, academic advising, and other needs as they become known.

• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and with students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office software
• Detail-oriented and committed to high-quality service

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in HPER or related field
• Successful playing and/or coaching at the collegiate or high school level
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and fulfill travel requirements
• A valid Driver's License is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two plus years coaching collegiately
• Previous teaching experience
