Bethel College has an immediate opening for a part-time Assistant Softball Coach.
The successful candidate will have:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills,
- Ability to analyze individual and team performances,
- Ability to plan, organize, and teach fundamentals and skills,
- Administrative and organizational skills, conflict management skills,
- Effective personal computer skills and ability to use various office software such as Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to perform physical demands of the position
- Ability to relate well with college students
- Ability to work and cooperate with other coaches, faculty, and supervisory staff in all departments
- Ability to operate within all guidelines and eligibility requirements of Bethel College, the Department of Athletics, the NAIA, and Crossroads League Conference
Job Duties:
May include, but not limited to:
- Be a spiritual leader and mentor for the team in practice, during performances, and throughout the year
- Assist in the preparation and planning of practices and games
- Teach assigned fundamentals and skills during practices and games
- Assist in the training and conditioning of the team members
- Assist in recruiting student athletes
- Assist in managing the team while traveling
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Requirements:
- Commitment to the mission of the Bethel College Athletic department
- BA degree preferred
- Coaching experience preferred
- Ability to abide by the Bethel College Covenant of Lifestyle
