Master’s degree. Working experience in a collegiate communications department in either a full-time, graduate assistant or postgrad intern role.

| Position Summary |
Coordinate and supervise information that satisfies media requirements and creates interest in the University of Georgia athletics program within assigned sport(s). Make consistent efforts to present information to the news media and groups including alumni, lettermen, faculty, students and fans in a positive manner with honesty and integrity. Establish and maintain relationships with local and national media in promoting UGA athletics while demonstrating an innovative approach with a strategic mindset.

| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
Experience with portable computers, desktop publishing, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, web design, editing and design of publications and social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, provide superior customer service. Solid administrative and computer skills. A working knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, customers and the general public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only a limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work nontraditional hours to include nights, weekends, and some holidays. Ability to travel.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions. Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Develop and execute an innovative, strategic media plan for assigned sports. Develop strategies that will broaden visibility and reach while enhancing the UGA brand. Coordinate production of media guides, game notes, preseason outlooks, postseason media guides, media releases and statistics for assigned sports. Organize or oversee releases and event coverage for assigned sports.
