Job Description:

The assistant sports information director assists the assistant athletics director for media/community relations in all facets of sports information related to the University’s 31 varsity sports, including the production of publications, writing press releases and post-game stories, updating the athletics department website, compiling team statistics and assisting with game day operations.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Sport Management or a related field is required.

Experience:

• One year previous sports information experience
• One year of experience in electronic or print media

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.)
