-Provide a consistent and high-quality training experience responsible for safety and development of the assigned sport programs
-Enables student-athletes to perform to their physical potential in their sport through the development and management of individual and group weight, strength, and fitness training programs
-Develops programs by evaluating current physical conditioning, having a knowledge of the various sports and associated exercises, tailoring strength programs for specific needs, demonstrating proper performance of exercises, correcting mistakes
-Manages programs by monitoring progress and providing an assessment of development
Promotes commitment, teamwork and develops working relationships
-Establishes rapport with and ensures open lines of communication with the coaching staff, student-athletes of all teams, and athletic training staff
-Assists in the administration of the entire program, including assisting with daily weight room practices and conditioning responsibilities
-Provides an overall positive environment for the strength and conditioning development of all student-athletes
-Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
-Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Two years of collegiate coaching experience in designated sport required. Understanding of and compliance with
NCAA
rules and regulations and commitment to the mission of Jesuit higher education.
Bachelor’s degree and

certification required; Minimum 1-2 years Experience in strength and conditioning on the university/college level;
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (
CSCS
