Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics & Recreation seeks applicants for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Reporting to the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, in this position, you will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff in the overall coordination, direction and operation of a NCAA strength and conditioning program for men’s and women’s intercollegiate athletic teams.

Assist in designing, instructing and supervising student-athletes in the following: proper techniques of strength training movements, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, speed development, power development, nutritional education, testing and evaluation protocols and flexibility programs
Work in conjunction with the athletic training staff and team physicians in regard to effective rehabilitation and treatment programs for injured student-athletes
Assist in the training and supervision of student interns

Create and maintain proper records and databases
Oversee the operations and maintenance of all equipment
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in related field required
Master's degree in related field preferred
National Strength and Conditioning Certification or equivalent required
Certification by NSCA or CSCCA required
1-2 years of experience working with diversified groups of athletes, both male and female
A minimum of 1 year working with collegiate student-athletics preferred
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
Ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus and the national community
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
Ability to work nights and weekends as required
Some travel possible
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and/or a commitment to diversity and inclusion
