The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for assisting the Director of Strength and Conditioning - Olympic Sports in design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs. Primary sport responsibility is Women's Soccer.
55% Design and implementation of speed, strength and conditioning programs for Women's Soccer. This responsibility will include but is not limited to teaching and motivating the athletes during all weight training, conditioning and rehab sessions. Assists with the collection and interpretation of testing data consisting of weight room, speed and GPS data. In-season travel may be required.
40% Aid the Director of Strength and Conditioning in the planning and organization of training for other sports as needed.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with one year experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning environment; CSCS or CSCCa Certified; CPR/AED certified
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Travel is required. Due to the nature of the position and/or position responsibilities, this position shall be subject to drug/alcohol testing in accordance with University PS-67. Pre-employment drug screen and physical are required.
