Bucknell University is seeking an Assistant Strength Coach to join our team!
Primary job responsibilities for this position will include: the design, implementation and scheduling of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports. The successful candidate must be proficient in Olympic and strength training movements, exercise selection and training theories/philosophies.

What You'll Do:
Design, Implement and Schedule Strength and Conditioning Programs** | 65%** | Responsible for overseeing and implementing training programs for Division I student-athletes in 6-8 varsity programs, assisting with the planning, scheduling, and development of weight training programs for 27 varsity D-1 intercollegiate athletic teams. Additional tasks include providing certified and safe instruction on the use of weight machines, free weights, and conditioning equipment, as well as conducting regular testing and evaluations of student-athletes to monitor progress and ensure training outcomes are met.
Student-Athlete Overall Health and Safety | 20% | Promote commitment and teamwork by developing strong working relationships with the sports medicine staff, ensuring open lines of communication in the monitoring, design, and implementation of rehabilitation programs for injured athletes. Additionally, the role involves educating and promoting proper nutritional guidance and supplementation to support the health and performance of student-athletes.
Administrative | 15% |responsible for maintaining the weight room by taking inventory of equipment and recommending upgrades as needed, in line with the department’s overall risk management planning. Additionally, the role includes overseeing volunteer Strength Interns, providing education on program development skills and proper lifting techniques to ensure their growth and effectiveness in the role.

The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
