| Position Summary |
The Assistant Strength Coach reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and serves as a member of the department staff that is committed to excellence and advancing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics through its strategic plan and vision.

| Job Duties and Responsibilities |
- Works with Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, and Softball athletic programs. Assists with Football program.
- Manages Athletics weight room, including maintaining all equipment, ordering new equipment, scheduling facility, and managing student-athlete’s
employees and interns.
- Counsels and advises coaches and student-athletes on various components of strength and conditioning program, including weight room safety, proper exercise technique, sports nutrition and injury reduction.
- Works with coaching staff and sports medicine staff to integrate student-athlete injury reduction and rehabilitation into strength and conditioning programs.
- Works with head coaches, sports medicine staff, and athletics department senior staff to develop and integrate student-athlete supplement policy in accordance with NCAA regulations.

| Required Education and/or Experience |
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Exercise Science, Sports Fitness, Kinesiology, or related field
- Minimum one (1) year of full-time previous work experience developing and maintaining strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes at the intercollegiate level.
- Up to date credentials as Certified and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification (SCCC) from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, or previously scheduled CSCS or SCCC exam with proof of certification necessary within 90 days of hire. Also required are valid certifications in CPR, AED and First Aid
