The Department of Athletics at The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina is accepting applications for an Assistant Strength Coach. This role will assist in the design and implementation of the strength and conditioning program with the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Working with designated teams in that department. These team members will collaborate with sport coaches and the sports medicine staff to tailor, manager and recap training programs for up to four groups spanning varsity athletics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reports to Director of S&C & Associate Director of S&C
• Assist w/ the year round Football training program
• Develop & Facilitate assigned team training programs (Per Director)
• Brief staff on respective team training plans and coordination process
• Support in the supervision Managers/Interns
• Manage assigned Divisions; (Per Director)
• Set up & break down of equipment & training sessions

Skills/Qualifications:

• Health and fitness in good standing, Individual & Group Communication, Delegation, Supply Management, Supervision, Development of Standards.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ experience with the sole responsibility of NCAA team sport training facilitation (graduated assistantships across all populations count towards this). Additionally, a four-year degree and a S&C-specific certification (CSCS, SCCC, NSCA)
