Summary:
Position assists in the day-to-day management of the strength and conditioning program within Athletics, University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations, with emphasis on injury prevention, nutrition, and enhanced sport specific athletic performance.
Responsibilities:
Develops / implements of pre-season, in-season, and off-season strength and conditioning programming for assigned position groups within football under the guidelines / protocols set forth by associated governing bodies (NSCA, CSCCa). Researches and activates best industry practices / strategies / programming towards the achievement of individual and team goals / objectives related to area of assignment.
Teaches student-athletes proper methods of exercise geared towards injury prevention and enhancement of strength, speed, conditioning and flexibility. Includes demonstration where appropriate
Actively provides an environment of learning / growth, managing the safety and conduct of student-athletes while in sports performance facilities
Collaborates with assigned position coaches in the assessment and development / implementation / monitoring of programming towards individual / team goals related to injury mitigation and enhanced sports performance. Includes the acclimation of student-athletes to programming as well as customization of programming to meet individual and positional needs.
Collaborates with assigned position coaches in the development, implementation and tracking of short term and long term testing / assessment protocols and results.

Assists with the development and implementation / enforcement of policies and procedures related to the safe use of facilities and equipment.
Manages weight room and related facilities, to include equipment maintenance and inventory.
Represents UCFAA, Inc. and UCF to the NCAA, Conference, other universities, Central Florida community, and the general public.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience
Appropriate graduate coursework or master’s degree may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience
CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS), as well as CPR / AED certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level or higher
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
