UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and Big XII Conference member, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Strength Coach - Women's Basketball.
Under the direction of the Director of Sports Performance - Olympic Sports, the selected candidate assists in the day-to-day management of the athletics sports performance program within UCF, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the daily oversight of strength and conditioning programming for nationally competitive programs, with emphasis on women's basketball and other sports as assigned. As coordinator for designated sports, the selected individual must be able to prepare a program and teach, demonstrate, and supervise proper techniques for strength, speed, conditioning, and flexibility exercises within the program, while maintaining a safe training environment. Due to the nature / scope of athletics and athletics events, position often requires work on evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to occasional travel.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS), as well as CPR / AED certification required. Prefer strength and conditioning experience at the Division I level or higher. Strong attention to detail and communication (written/verbal) skills also preferred.
