Job Description

The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach supports the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach & Strength & Conditioning department by: providing excellent coaching to all Athletic teams; working closely with other professional staff members to ensure smooth function of the student-athlete’s needs; designing and programming strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; assisting with items/tasks within the department.

Education and Experience:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree or pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physical Education.

Experience: At least one year of experience in positions involving the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength and conditioning programs for men and women. Student-athlete experience, in any sport at the collegiate level, is preferred.

License: A recognized fitness/coaching certification and a CPR/AED certification are required and must be maintained throughout the course of employment in the position. A certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) is preferred.

Supervision and Scheduling Demands:

August-May. Evening hours are expected. No Travel
