Overview

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a Strength & Condition program designed to maximize the Athletic Development of our Football student-athletes. This will include the research, planning, implementation, and evaluation of our lifting and running programs.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and evaluation of our lifting and running programs.
• This position will have emphasized involvement in workout file maintenance (excel), inventory, and upkeep of all equipment in the weightroom. 
• This position will be is responsible for promoting the philosophy and vision of the Head Football Strength & Conditioning Coach, Head Football Coach and Athletics Director.

Special Requirements:

• A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain UO driver’s certification within 90 days of employment and maintain it throughout employment with the Athletic Department.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One year of relevant experience working with Division 1 Football player
• Current National Strength and Conditioning Association certification (CSCS) or (CSCCA)
• Familiarity with the Olympic Lifts
• Familiarity with demonstrating and coaching sprint mechanics
• Experience with Excel and other computer programs

The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Outdoors, incumbents may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. Bending, crawling, and crouching will be required. Incumbents may be required to lift, push, and/or pull objects over 50 pounds and be required to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
