The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach will assist the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in designing and implementing programs for all varsity athletic programs; specifically responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of safe and effective strength and conditioning programs to improve performance of the Men's & Women's varsity teams. The Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach is responsible for oversight of East Campus Strength and Conditioning Center during assigned shift and during absence of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Knowledge of strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular conditioning Knowledge of NCAA regulations and guidelines Demonstrated ability to motivate a variety of student-athletes Ability to initiate, develop and maintain contacts appropriate to an effective strength and conditioning program Ability to convey a clear and concise message while communicating, both verbally and in writing Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. Non Standard Shift: The Assistant Coach, Strength & Conditioning will be working during scheduled games, practices and workout times, that may take place outside of standard business hours. The successful candidate must be able to work long days including early mornings, evenings and weekends based on the needs of each team.
Occasional overnight travel may be required (10% or less)
Expected hiring range: $55,500 - $57,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer’s good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
