Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for a Part-Time Assistant Swimming and Strength Coach. This position is a seasonal, part-time academic year appointment from September-February.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Assist with skill instruction, motivation and ability to conduct practice sessions under direction of the head coach
Assist head coach with planning, implementation, and supervision of dryland training and weight training practice sessions
Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic, and athletic progress of student athletes
Exhibit supportive and cooperation behavior pursuing sport programs goals as set by head coach
Demonstrate leadership ability and professional behavior when dealing with student athletes
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
1-3 years previous coaching experience required; prior strength and conditioning coaching experience preferred
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
