The Assistant Swimming Coach reports to and will assist the Head Swimming Coach in directing all activities of the men’s and women’s swimming programs within NCAA, RMAC and Colorado School of Mines policies, guidelines, and procedures. The Assistant Swimming Coach is responsible for supporting the athletic and academic development of student-athletes while focusing on student-athlete welfare.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coaching

  • Assist the head coach in the coaching and training of the men’s and women’s Swimming teams; developing and conducting all in-season and out-of-season sessions throughout the year as deemed necessary and appropriate.
  • Aid the head coach in the psychological preparation of team in both pre-game and post-game; and for developing motivational approach to practice and meets.
  • Assist with filming and technique instruction.
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of swimming in decision-making, delegating authority and in setting objectives.
  • Travel to all competitions – in-state and out-of-state
