Job Description

Davidson College invites applications for the position of Assistant Swimming Coach. This position will assist in all phases of Davidson’s Varsity Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving program, achieved primarily by recruiting and preparing promising swimmers.  Davidson competes in the Atlantic-10 conference 

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, experience as a successful college swimmer or swimming coach, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency with technology.

The successful candidate will demonstrate effectiveness in coaching college athletes and an ability to relate to scholar-athletes in a leadership role. Appreciation for a demanding academic environment, and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership and sportsmanship are required.

The Assistant Swimming Coach will be required to comply with all Davidson College, Atlantic-10, and NCAA rules and regulations.  In addition, the successful candidate will embrace the athletic department’s focus on Consistency, Accountability, Teamwork, and Success.
