Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach (PT)
Goldey-Beacom College

Summary:

Goldey-Beacom College is accepting applications for a part-time Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach position. The holder of this position will assist the head coach in all aspects of running a successful tennis program. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to recruiting, training, game day coaching, budget, equipment, travel, and scheduling.

Department: Athletics
Education/Experience: High School Graduate with formal training in athletic techniques and procedures.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Candidate must be a self-motivated worker who can work with minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to work with a diverse group of people and interact with other departments.

Physical Requirements: The candidate must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.

Essential Functions:

• Assist the Head Coach of the Tennis team.
• Assist in the recruitment of retainable student-athletes under CACC, NCAA, and college regulations.
• Attend daily training sessions.
• Attend home and away games.
• Assume the responsibilities of coaching the team should the head coach be unavailable.
• Assist the head coach in any way deemed important by the head coach.
• Assist the head coach with the retrieval, maintenance and storage of all uniforms and equipment.
• Represent the College in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
• Maintain and provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record as this position requires frequent driving. If the employee fails to maintain these requirements, suspension of driving privileges for work purposes at Goldey-Beacom College or termination of employment may result.
• Comply with all NCAA or conference rules. Violation of NCAA or conference rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
• Fulfill federally-mandated responsibilities of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). Report any known Clery Act crime to the Clery Compliance Officer. Attend and successfully complete CSA training at least annually.
