Expired Date: Sep 26, 2025Within the framework of the Loyola University New Orleans mission of educating the whole person, the Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach will support both the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams by fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach in providing coaching expertise and administrative duties for the intercollegiate program on a full-time basis. This is a 12-month position.
Assist in all areas as they relate to the operation of the track & field and cross country program.
Administrative duties assigned by the head coach including but not limited to assisting in team travel, monitoring the academic performance of student-athletes, home meet management, and recruiting tasks.
Ability to relate and motivate student-athletes.

Transport student-athletes in vans to practice and/or meets.
Represent Loyola in a positive manner at any events on and/or off campus.
Additional Responsibilities: - Assume the duties of the university Campus Security Authority (CSA), including but not limited to, reporting crimes as defined through the Cleary Act and providing annual reporting statistics. - Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Able to lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs. - Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
In accordance with the Campus Security Act as amended, Loyola University publishes annually and distributes to members of the academic community, and upon request to prospective (students/employees), an annual security report. That report includes current policies and procedures of the University Police Department for the reporting of campus crimes, notifying the campus community of occurrence of campus crimes, policies regarding access to campus buildings, the enforcement authority of the University Police Officers and their relationship to local police. University policies on the possession, use and sale of alcohol and illegal drugs are outlined. The Campus sexual Assault Program and policy is described. Campus crime statistics as defined under this law for the last three calendar years are included. A copy of this report may be secured from the (Office of Admissions), (Office of Human Resources), or from the University Police Department.
