The Opportunity :
The UCF Registrar’s Office seeks an Assistant University Registrar to join their team. This position is responsible for preparing academic eligibility data of student-athletes under NCAA and Conference policies, rules, and procedures. The incumbent will coordinate the review and evaluation of the degree audits for student-athletes, provide certification information, and run necessary reports. This position is also responsible for producing accurate semester and annual reports to measure academic progress toward degree (PTD) and eligibility status of student athletes.
Responsibilities:
Serve as liaison among college advisors, Academic Services for Student-Athletes (ASSA), Athletic Compliance Office (ACO), and FAR.
Meet with ASSA and ACO staff each semester to review eligibility status of student athletes.
Maintain a working knowledge of current NCAA and conference rules, policies, and procedures.
Application of information/knowledge of NCAA Bylaw 14 is an essential part of this position.
Complete assessment of eligibility for prospective transfer student-athletes and provide all assessments to ACO and ASSA.
Abide by all NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules and regulations concerning athletics and student-athletes.
Work directly with ASSA and Athletics Compliance on preliminary evaluations for prospective transfer student athletes as well as certification of student athletes.
Produce accurate student degree audits to assist the ASSA staff in determining preparations for future class enrollment and applicable hours for the student's program of study.
Meet with ASSA and ACO staff each semester to review eligibility status of student athletes.
In collaboration with the Athletics Department, prepare the GSR and APR reports.
Serves as a key member of the Registrar's Office Commencement Team and Grading Support Team.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's and 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience with at least 1+ year(s) of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications :
Works independently under stringent deadlines and with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of current NCAA and conference rules, policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with large amounts of data and demonstrate high attention to detail.
Possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Must be available for communication with the Athletics Compliance staff, FAR, ASSA, and supervisor during peak times of the eligibility certification process.
