MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and implement specific training appropriate to each athlete
• Assist in practices, game planning and strategy, video breakdowns, and other volleyball duties
• Arrange all travel needs for the team including buses, hotels, and food
• Help design and monitor the in-season and off-season strength & conditioning program

• Recruit and retain academically and athletically qualified student-athletes

  • Meet with prospective student-athletes on and off campus
  • Work closely with and within the guidelines of the Admission office

• Monitor and evaluate academic performance of student-athletes

• Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with our coaching staff and athletic department

• Support and promote the team expectations and vision of the team

• Actively cultivate and maintain alumni relationships

• Demonstrate leadership, sportsmanship and professionalism

• Additional duties as assigned

• Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, NCAA Division III, MIAC and Gustavus Adolphus College governing rules and regulations

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to recruit high performing student-athletes
• Proficiency with social media, video editing, and Microsoft Office Suite products
• Experience with leading strength and conditioning workouts, preferred
• Collegiate volleyball experience as a player or coach, preferred
