| Job Summary |
- We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Assistant Volleyball Coach. This coaching appointment is responsible for assisting the head coach and other assistant coach in the planning and administration of all aspects of the Division I volleyball program at EWU. In addition, this position will have responsibilities in the organization of office, recruiting, travel, alumni and camp duties.

- The salary for this position is $40,000 minimum salary (minimum) up to $45,000 top salary being offered. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. | Conditions of Employment |
Overnight travel will be required for a minimum of fifteen (15) nights per year for team competition and recruiting. Applicants must be able to maintain to a thorough knowledge of NCAA and institutional rules, regulations and policies.
Rules compliance is an important responsibility of this position. Employee shall support and comply with all applicable rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Big Sky Conference, and other established bodies that govern intercollegiate athletics and the University. In the event the Employee becomes aware, or has reasonable cause to believe, that violations of rules compliance may have taken place, Employee shall report same promptly to the Athletic Director, Compliance Office, or his/her designee.
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. | Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- One (1) year of volleyball coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level or two (2)years of coaching at any college level or commensurate experience.
- Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 60 days of employment.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Candidate should showcase a strong interest in, ability to, and/or experience withpromoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and diversity.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Two (2) years of experience as a Head or Assistant Volleyball Coach at the collegiate level.
- Four (4) years of volleyball playing experience at the NCAA Division I, II, III / NAIA level.
- Previous work experience in the Big Sky Conference.
- Clear understanding of marketing through Social Media outlets (i.e. X, Instagram, Facebook).
- Experience managing group travel.
- Successful history of running sport camps, including management of housing, food &campers.
