Description

• Assist the head coach in recruiting efforts, including evaluating and contacting prospective student-athletes, and completing compliance logs in a timely manner.Â
• Assist the head coach in the scouting of future opponents.
• Provide instruction of team members, including the preparation, planning, and conducting of practice sessions.
• Teach student-athlete’s specific tasks, while serving as a mentor to team members.
• Assist the head coach in the supervision of team travel.

• Perform other duties which may be assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Must have excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations.
• Must be self-directed and able to make decisions independently.
• Must have the ability to multi-task, work independently as well as be creative and innovative.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of competition and safety rules.
• Must always represent the University in a professional manner as well as have the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation.

Hours of Employment:Â Wiley University is a 40-hour work week; however, the incumbent must be flexible enough with their hours to meet the needs of the department and the University. Some weekends and travel may be required.
