Job Description

Midland University, a private liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska, is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Director of Instrumental Music to lead its Instrumental Music program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The candidate will assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the volleyball program. The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit qualified prospective student-athletes.
  • Coordinate campus visits with prospective student-athletes.
  • Collaborate with the Head Coach in the preparation of practice sessions and game strategies.
  • Assist with and/or lead on-floor coaching, training, and skill development (having a solid knowledge of, and ability to, train setters is preferred).
  • Oversee, manage, and direct the JV program in all aspects.
  • Conduct video analysis of opponents and collaborate with the Head Coach in the preparation and completion of scouting reports.
  • Coordinate team travel, meals, and other operational or managerial needs.
  • Assist with the ordering of gear and equipment and other items as needed.
  • Coordinate the organization, administration, and execution of summer camps.
  • Assist with the verification of eligibility of student-athletes through the NAIA.
  • Assist with fundraising events that allow for program enhancement.
