This job family is responsible for management, support and facilitation of university sports events and programs through world-class athletic programs and innovative recreation offerings. Includes activities and programs related to coaching, recreational sports, training, equipment management, strength and conditioning, specialized administration and wellness programs.
Positions in this sub-family are responsible for leading and managing student athletes in university sports programs. In accordance with program strategy and regulations, Coaches participate in recruitment, develop game day strategies, train athletes and foster teamwork, both on and off the field.
Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.
Manages a specific positional area or group of student-athletes. Accountable for the performance and direction-setting of positional area. Develops solutions to complex, cross-functional problems that require the application of extensive experience-based subject matter knowledge, especially in collaboration with other position leaders. Requires the ability to influence others to accept practices and strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Some experience in coaching this particular sport program at the collegiate and/or professional level.
