The University of Dayton invites qualified applicants to apply for our Assistant Volleyball Coach/Director of Volleyball Operation opening! The Assistant Volleyball Coach - Director of Volleyball Operations will assist the women's volleyball coaching staff with day to day operations of the program. This position is expected to attend all staff meetings, assist in everyday office work, act and dress in a professional manner when representing the university, Dayton Athletics and the volleyball head coach and program at all times. Duties include (but are not limited to): organizing team travel including air, bus or van transportation, hotels and practice sites; coordinating equipment and supplies for both home and away practices and matches, securing pregame meals; coordinating of equipment and uniform ordering and inventory, work with academics, compliance and training departments, organize and coordinate special events/youth clinics, community service and fund raising events for the team; communicate regularly with alumni. In addition to the operational duties, this position will assist with some assistant coaching duties such as instructing, training and coaching the student athletes about the sport, game and skills required. This is a full time, 12-month position with benefits and will require some travel, and include evening and weekend work.
Bachelor's degree
Strong working knowledge of computers, databases and video editing systems
Able to demonstrate excellent written and organizational skills
Demonstrated reliability to perform in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
-Valid drivers license with low risk driving record

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Experience as a volleyball coach or student athlete at the intercollegiate college level
Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
