Assisting in recruiting quality student-athletes in concert with the mission of the University.
Assisting in developing and maintaining positive team culture and chemistry.
Assisting in mentoring and counseling student-athletes.
Assisting in planning and conducting practices.
Assisting in scouting opponents and developing game strategies.
Developing and maintaining familiarity with applicable University, Landmark Conference, and NCAA regulations.
Representing the WBB program, River Hawk athletics, and Susquehanna University in a positive and professional manner.
Game day responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with no experience; or three (3) years of relevant playing and/or coaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Deep understanding of and passion for the game of Basketball.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build strong collaborative relationships. Requires ability to multi-task and attend to detail.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with current students and parents, prospective students and parents, and staff and faculty in a professional manner.
Ability to use technology and equipment specific to the sport.

Additional Requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify under the university’s insurance program to operate university or leased vehicles.
CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred.
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act. The coach must complete annual CSA training and report any Clery Act crimes disclosed to them.
Physical Demands
Must possess the physical stamina to effectively coach the sport.
Position requires the ability to move about the campus.
