| Job Summary/Basic Function |
The Full-Time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach is to assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with the daily operations of conducting a successful Women’s Basketball program, including the monitoring, and ensuring the academic success of the student- athletes. This position will be required to perform any or all duties related to recruiting academically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, scouting, conditioning, advising student athletes in academic matters related to enrollment and educational progress, generating revenue and other assigned duties.
Position Salary: Contract renewed on annual basis.

| Duties and Responsibilities |
Reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and receives specific assignments from and assists the Head Coach in performing any or all the duties listed below:
Attend appropriate Athletic departmental staff meetings.
All other duties as assigned.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two years of coaching experience at the NCAA collegiate level, High School or AAU level.
- Successful experience and/or knowledge of recruiting prospective student-athletes.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting student-athlete welfare and academic success.
- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate student-athletes.
- Experience with film exchange and scouting reports.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Evidence of recruiting and working effectively with student-athletes of diverse races and cultures.
- Evidence of complying fully with association and conference regulations.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and working with diverse student populations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful interview.
- Successful completion of three background checks.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Successful experience at the NCAA college level.
- Head coaching experience at the collegiate, high school level or AAU level.
- Experience coaching defense and defensive strategy.
- Demonstrated on-floor coaching experience with all positions but specifically post players.
- Success experience recruiting internationally.
- Experience and/or knowledge of fundraising.
