Position Summary

The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator-2nd Assistant will assist in the coaching and training of student-athletes at the

NCAA

Division I level to prepare them for competition, adhering to the

UIW

mission and core values by acting upon its goals and strategies. This role will also lead all program recruiting efforts. Position works in accordance with University of the Incarnate Word, Southland Conference, and

NCAA

rules and regulations. The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator-2nd Assistant will reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.

- Lead all women’s basketball efforts in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. - Coordinate recruiting visits and maintain scholarship offers, recruiting targets and commitments, updating the coaching staff on recruiting issues and communicating eligibility and/or admissions status with prospective student-athletes and coaching staff. - Manage the logistical planning of recruitment of prospective student-athletes. - Coordinate transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, game tickets and game day recruiting functions. - Serve as liaison with the University Admissions Office and the Athletics Compliance Office. - Perform other duties as assigned. |
