Minimum Qualifications

• No minimum education required
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of beach volleyball.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of volleyball. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Work Environment
• In accordance with UC Davis Athletics’ hiring process for coaches, UC Davis will require any head coach or assistant coach final candidate(s) to sign an authorization for a reference check. Pursuant to your signed authorization form, we will inquire with your prior institution(s) about any records of substantiated misconduct. Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 13.1.2 (Permissible Recruiting) before recruiting. Current CPR & First Aid certification or must obtain within 30 days from date of hire and certified biannually.
