The assistant women's gymnastics coach is responsible for assisting with the organization, administration, coaching and supervision of the women's gymnastics program. The assistant coach is also responsible for the recruitment of quality student-athletes and maintaining good relationships with the community, alumni, and boosters. Additionally, the assistant coach must have a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA, WIAC, and NCGA rules. This is a full-time, 9-month academic term appointment.

- Gymnastics spotting experience

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the guidance of the Head Women's Gymnastics Coach: Organize, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate practice sessions with proper attention to player's physical and mental well-being.
- Provide supervision in gymnastics gym to ensure safety of gymnasts.
- Prepare athletes to demonstrate university-level performance during competitive events.
- Provide supervision and care of supplies and equipment.
- Promote athletics at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
- Work with building staff and other sport coaches on sharing multi-purpose facilities.
- Strengthen reputation within conference and athletic affiliation through competitive record and professional leadership.
- Research and implement new findings for refining skills and coaching techniques.
- Recruit ample numbers of quality student-athletes.
- Be personally on-site at athletic practices and events.
- Demonstrate program progress towards success and competitiveness.
- Assume appropriate responsibility for assistant coaches.
- Follow rules of the NCAA, WIAC, NCGA, women's gymnastics, and UW-Stout.
- Be an active and productive fundraiser in accordance with a long-range program plan.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the community to generate interest in and support of the program.
- Provide leadership within sports program in accordance with department, division, and university policy.
- Maintain rapport with high school and club programs.
- This position is a mandated reporter under the Jeanne Clery Act as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
