Job Summary/Basic Function
The Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach will support all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse program, with a primary emphasis on teaching, instruction, and student-athlete development. This role is primarily focused on on-field and off-field instruction, including skill development, lacrosse fundamentals, conditioning, strategy education, and the overall educational and athletic advancement of student-athletes within the program.
This position requires a strong commitment to student-athlete development, academic success, compliance, and recruiting. The assistant coach will help conduct all aspects of the program within the philosophy and guidelines set forth by Shepherd University, the NCAA, and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior collegiate coaching experience
• Recruiting experience at the NCAA level
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations (Division II preferred)
• Background in teaching, kinesiology, exercise science, sport coaching, or related field preferred
