Performance Expectations:
Assistant Coaches are expected to work collaboratively with their head coach in meeting established performance standards that support the mission and sustainability of Thiel College Athletics. These expectations include achieving assigned recruiting and roster targets; maintaining retention benchmarks; fostering a positive student-athlete experience; demonstrating competitive progress appropriate to program tenure; engaging alumni, parents, community partners, and supporters; contributing to program and departmental fundraising initiatives; and supporting community engagement efforts. In addition, Assistant Coaches are responsible to follow and actively support the head coach’s established annual program calendar that outlines recruiting activities, fundraising initiatives, alumni engagement events, and academic monitoring strategies during the fall and spring semesters to support student-athlete retention and success.
The College evaluates performance using a comprehensive, holistic approach and is committed to supporting growth. When reasonable progress is not evident, next steps may include a performance improvement plan or probation, and, when appropriate, non-renewal of employment appointment, in accordance with College policies.
Successful candidates must adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines, policies, and rules. Demonstrate professional behavior while operating with integrity.
This is a 10-month position with a $10,000 stipend and includes housing, meals, cell phone, as well as an athletic professional development class provided by the College.
