Assistant Women's Soccer Coach - Temporary

The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Women’s Soccer Coach in all aspects of the women’s soccer program. Primary tasks include but are limited to coaching, student-athlete development, recruiting, and team practices. The temporary Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach reports to the Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
This is a temporary non-benefits eligible three month assignment through mid-November.

Job Duties

- Assists with coaching/teaching student-athletes to the best of their ability.
- Assists the Head Coach in running the day-to-day activities.
- Assists with implementing training programs.
- Assists in the development of student-athletes, both academically and athletically.
- Assists in conducting film analysis and reviewing films with the student-athletes.
- Manages team and game events, daily team operations, game preparations for video editing, and pre and post-game scouting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Must exhibit sound judgment in advising and counseling student-athletes.
- Must be able to identify and participate in the resolution of departmental/institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal.
- Ability to consistently follow the Mission of the University.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Bachelors Degree.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Three (3) or more years of experience coaching soccer at the NCAA collegiate level. Note that experience at the club level will be considered.
|
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master’s Degree.
- US Soccer/United Soccer Coaches License.
- Experience recruiting academically skilled students and talented athletes.
- Experience with databases such as ARMS/ACS/Frostrush.
- Experience with video editing software such as Hudl/Instate/I-movie.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must have a valid driver license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.

Business hours of Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm with flexibility; extended hours as required, including weekends, evenings and some holidays based on team schedule.
