Job Description:
Responsible for coaching, recruiting and scheduling of the University’s intercollegiate Division III Men’s Tennis program. Teaches activity classes.
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Preferred:
Master's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
6 months coaching experience, preferably at Division III level.
Preferred:
1 year to 3 years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:
Demonstrated effectiveness in the recruitment of student athletes and the instructional aspects of coaching, tennis stringing, and tournament and event management.
Knowledge of the game of tennis and the fundamentals of the sport.
Ability to string tennis racquets.
Ability to operate in a gym/gym equipment/workout plans.
Ability to operate the budget and Concur Solutions.
Ability to coordinate practices.
Admissions requirements.
ITA rules and regulations.
NCAA rules and regulations.
Ability to work computer programs/systems/data entry.
Coaching, recruiting, scheduling.
Stringing tennis racquets.
Organizational skills.
Mentoring players.
Nutrition knowledge.
Court maintenance.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and have a good driving history. May not have more than two moving violations in a three-year period.
