Position Overview
Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach. The successful candidate will support the Head Coach with recruiting, practices, training, conditioning, scouting, game preparation, team travel, academic support, and facility care while reinforcing the goals of the Athletics Department and the University.
The Assistant Coach must comply with all applicable SUNO, Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC), and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) rules.
Stipend Payment Arrangement
The position will be compensated through a seasonal stipend. One-half of the stipend will be paid at the start of the season, and the remaining one-half will be paid at the end of the season. Payment is subject to applicable University payroll procedures and federal and state wage-and-hour requirements.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in athletic, indoor gymnasium, office, and travel settings. The position requires standing for extended periods during practices and games; participating in or demonstrating drills and physical skills; lifting, carrying, or transporting equipment; and traveling by car, air, or bus. Extensive travel, estimated at 50%–75% with or without reasonable accommodation.
