Assistant Wrestling Coach

Coach. Kentucky Wesleyan is an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great

Major Responsibilities
• Assist with the instruction of student athletes in wrestling.
• Teach the rules, fundamentals, skill development, and strategies for wrestling.
• Assist with the instruction of student athletes on sport-related topics, including personal
health, wellness, fitness, team building, and safety.
• Assist with the recruitment and retention of student athletes.
• Attend practices and competitions
• Assist with game management and fundraising as requested.
Qualifications
• Previous coaching experience. College-level coaching experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
• Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED.
• Effective interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and enthusiastically with others.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.

The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers compete in NCAA Division II and are charter members of the
Great Midwest Athletic Conference comprising teams from Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and
Tennessee. Athletic teams include baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, softball, tennis,
volleyball, and wrestling.
