Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Athletic Director for the Intercollegiate Athletics department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Creates and manages a comprehensive marketing and communication plan for this department and the Scarlet Knights For Life program that will reach and appeal to a broad audience including current student-athletes, alumni, donors/sponsors, employers, and community partners.
Focuses efforts on preparing student-athletes to access and succeed in career, internship, and
NIL
marketplaces, encompassing their application of social media best practices, other online platforms for personal branding, in-person networking, and public speaking acumen.
Implements and manages an experiential industry exploration program through collaboration with university alumni and other supporters that will allow for off-campus site visits and will oversee the Scarlet Knights For Life internship program.
Serves as primary office liaison to individual sports teams, communicating and meeting regularly with head coaches, coaching staffs, academic advisors, sports administrators, other support staffs, and student-athletes for participation in all aspects of the Scarlet Knights For Life program and will engage regularly with colleagues in athletics and the greater university community for strategic communication and programming.

- Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program design and execution, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
- A minimum of three years relevant experience.

- Ability to guide, support and manage multiple priorities in a positive, collaborative environment.

- Knowledge of NCAA life skills programming and experience in youth and/or student development (at any educational level), youth/student services (at any educational level).

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
