Based on experience, the successful candidate will be hired into one of two levels of professional opportunity: Associate Athletic Director or Senior Associate Athletic Director and will have the opportunity to progress through the career path by achieving defined performance objectives once employed. Duties and qualifications listed are for the Associate Athletic Director position. Additional duties and qualifications required for Senior Associate Athletic Director position.
Primary Function: Oversees research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects ($25,000 and above) for Athletics and University Advancement; coordinates donor activities at select athletic events; serves as representative for the Athletic Department and Foundation at appropriate university and community events; and leads Athletics Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) strategic initiatives within purview of NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus at least three years of combined experience in fundraising or non-profit development working directly with donors, functioning as a key member of a fundraising/sales team, and/or similar significant direct client contact experience in sales and/or marketing required. Non-profit development experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated commitment to educational excellence; creativity, self-motivation and the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with alumni, friends, and businesses preferred. Frequent overnight travel will be necessary.

The pay grade and salary will be determined by position level hired into. Below are the pay grades and starting salary range for each level:
Associate Athletic Director, pay grade 121: $68,000 to Commensurate
Senior Associate Athletic Director, pay grade 122: $79,500 to Commensurate
